Vetted and screened tutors to DCSF standards

All of our tutors are vetted and have passed a vigorous interview and selection process. This includes a face-to-face interview, an ID and qualification check, a CRB check, references and permission to work in the UK. We aim to provide full confidence to clients by ensuring that we register and submit quality candidates and confirm our commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children.

One to one trained tutors

All tutors who wish to work on the one-to-one scheme must attend one of our weekly training sessions. Training topics include one-to-one methodology, safeguarding, appropriate planning and delivery, working with looked after children, and effective parent and teacher liaison.

Rates for schools and LA's in line with the government's set rates with no additional costs

Our rates are in line with the DCSF guidelines for inner and outer London and the rest of the UK. We don't charge any extra admin or travel costs.

Payment of tutors

We invoice schools and Local Authorities on a fortnightly or monthly basis in arrears.
We pay the tutors directly and deduct NI and tax appropriately in a tax efficient way which benefits the tutor. Tutors can also claim for travel expenses and subsistence using our payment umbrella company ISS.

Management and evaluation of tuition

We can provide full management of tuition including extra staff if necessary. Tutors can complete our online pupil passport and pupil booklet so tuition can be monitored by all parties after each session. Quality assurance of tutors includes monitoring of lesson summaries, observation of one-to-one, teacher, school, parent and student feedback with analysis.
